Let’s Spread More Happy | ENERVON

As a certified millennial, I love to do so many things at the same time. I juggle so many hats to further enhance my skills, widen my network, and have fun. I’m the type of person who’s very adventurous and would want to try out tons of things. But balancing all of it requires more energy to keep you going. Good thing I’m equipped with my favorite multivitamin, Enervon!

Enervon1Recently, I joined the #14DaysWithEnervon challenge and tested out my energy and happiness level while I juggle work, workout, and good times. Having an active lifestyle really requires you to have additional energy to keep you going all throughout the day. In the duration of the #LetsSpreadMoreHappy challenge I was able to accomplish so many things, from lifting weights, managing my niece’s homework, meetings, and un moments with my family and friends.

FITFIL NATIONAL WEIGHTLOSS CHALLENGE

A lot of people have been asking me about my weight loss journey. To be honest I really want to write about it but I feel like I need to assess myself more and really look back on what happened. There might be a tendency for me to write a long blog post about it if someone won’t structure all my thoughts for that post since I’m really invested to it. Speaking of weight loss, I’m really happy that a lot of Filipinos now are becoming health buffs and are being more conscious about their lifestyle.

FWD2Another reason to motivate you is FitFil or the Fit Filipino National Weight Loss Challenge spearheaded by the power duo in the fitness industry Coach Jim and Coach Toni Saret. The FitFitl challenge aims to accumulate 1,000,000 lbs lost to fellow Filipinos who accepted the challenge and pledge a number of pounds to lose.

FWD5With that, FitFil will be throwing several fitness parties and activities all over the Philippines together with FWD Life Philippines to assure that we’ll all able start moving and to commit to the challenge. They’ve also partnered with different government organizations and other associations in order to entice more people and show the force that the Philippines is ready for some good change.

WHY I LOVE POTATOES?

In the Philippines, we’ve always been rice lovers and we see to it that we have it in almost every meal. Be it in a form of congee, fried rice, or even dessert. Now that we are more exposed in living a healthier lifestyle we tend to seek more options to meet our carb requirements to fuel our body and to keep us going.

One of my top of mind for rice replacement are US Potatoes. There are tons of reasons why we should love US potatoes especially for people who live an active lifestyle like me. US Potatoes are rich in vitamin C and potassium. Did you also know that it contains electrolytes that’s essential to athletes as well? Electrolytes are necessary for optimum body function, and having too few can cause cramps, as many athletes know.

Another reason why I love US Potatoes is because it’s also rich in fiber. A medium US potato with skin contributes 2g of fiber, which provides 8% of the daily requirement. Dietary have numerous health benefits, including improving blood lipid levels, regulating blood glucose, makes you feel full longer, and it aids in weight loss.

US Potatoes also are very versatile in terms of the dishes you can make with it. It takes creativity and a bit of research to get that perfect US Potato recipe. Some of you might opt for boiled, baked, and fried. But in the Philippines, we use it to supplement our favorite dishes with added nutrients. Overall, I really recommend having US Potatoes as carb replacement. Aside from it being very filling, it’s also packed with the needed vitamins our bodies need.

Sunlife’s #GoWellSweatSquad || The Fit Stop

GoWellSweatSquad1Last Thursday, I got reunited with my fitness beshies for another round of sweat sesh with The Fit Stop’s very own Nikki Torres. It was a fit and fun filled night with Jeff, Ate Jackie, Nikki, and the Go Well team. With over 150 attendees, we all moved as one as we dance to the latest beats including hits from popstar Britney spears. See more of the event our latest video.

FITNESS RAVE WITH FITSTREET

Few weeks ago I got invited to FitStreet. It was a 2-day of fun and interactive fitness activities perfect for wellness enthusiasts like me. FitStreet was held in Bonifacio High Street and there were tons of booths that offer special promos and discounts for people who visit them.

Dj Mars Miranda dropped sick beats to keep us pumped up all throughout our session. It was really fun because good music can set your pace and it will make you enjoy your workout more. Another bonus is that they added some cool hits from the 90’s and early 2000’s in some of the tracks.

Also, I got a chance to do it with my fellow FitStop beshie, Nikki Torres. We did the 3-hour fitness marathon and it was hella fun. We were able to do so many things from dance, HIIT, martial arts, strength, and more. It was totally a night to remember because it was one of the most memorable fitness events that I’ve attended.
