BEST OF 2016

January 6, 2017

Holla beshies! I know that we’ve already waved goodbye to 2016 and now it’s time to embrace and welcome a brand new year. Like in my previous post, let me do a quick round up of how my life went for the past year. Join me as I look back and cherish the precious memories I made last 2016.

Spent the first few days of my year in New York. It was my first time in New York and I was in awe the whole trip. I was lucky enough to tick something off on my bucket list and that’s to watch a broadway musical. I also managed to visit different scenic spots and other attractions at the famous big apple.

To be honest, nothing much happened this month. February is one of my chill month but it’s also the birth month of my nephew Cedrick. 2016 also kickstarted a new partnership with my current coach, Kim Ammay of 360 Fitness Club Timog. Oh before I forget, I was also able to watch the much anticipated concert of Madonna in Manila.

Some of the highlights that happened for this month are the following events. Had my first run for the year with my Get Hooked fam and got a great time for my first 5k run. I also had a chance to share my knowledge about travelling and blogging to the Comm Arts students of Miriam College. And lastly, the cherry on top for this month is that I get to watch another amazing musical from PETA called 3 Stars and a Sun.

April was one of the best months for 2016. It was one of the most challenging yet most fruitful month where tons of events happened. It was the month when the national elections kickstarted and at the same time, the 2016 360 Olympics happened. I was really happy with the results of the olympics even though we only placed second for Body Jam, we still brought home the overall championship. To top it all off, my niece Cassy also celebrated her 7th birthday this year.

This month happened so fast and it was a rollercoaster ride. A lot of things happened but the most important thing is that my Dad won as a city councilor for District 6, Q.C.. For me it’s the only highlight of this month and nothing can beat that.

So much happened last June. I got to tick off so many things on my bucket list like, running 10km, climbing Pico de Loro and the Monolith, met my favorite international style blogger Aimee Song, and last but not the least, my family joined me in my love for fitness.

What do I say about this month? I think that this is my fittest month but the months after this became a fitness nightmare. This month, my abs decided to say hello for the first time and also I finished another 10km run with a new PR.

August was my last month in Get Hooked 360 and this month also gave so much blessings to me. It was my Mom’s birth month and we decided to spend it in Hong Kong with the whole family. We really needed that trip so much after the stressful campaign period. They also spent their wedding anniversary hence the couple onesie photo haha (it was my idea). Lastly, I had a meeting for a collaboration with Roxee B. and Will Devaughn.

My favorite month. My birthday month.Okay so before I proceed with the highlight of this month, let me share to you some interesting events that happened. My nephew Cedrick finally met his favorite WWE Superstars and I together with my gym friends went on another adventure at Masungi Georeserve (watch my vlog HERE). Another great thing that happened this month is that I finally accepted the challenge of flying solo HAHAHA. For my birthday week, I decided to travel alone in Taiwan and that was the best decision I made in my life. It was super fun and I can’t wait to do it again.

This month was celebrated with friend. I met new friend and I was also able to catch up with some of my old friends. It was also one of the month that I enjoyed the most because it’s when I started filming for my youtube channel.

I actually don’t know what to say for this month. I was kind of pre-occupied this November because I led a group for a dance performance (WOW!!! HAHAHA). I also get to attend more blog events because the couch potato in me decided to go out of my zone and just do it #fortheblog. HAHAHA!

And now the end is HERE. Finally after 365 days, we’re finally at the last stretch of the year. To be honest, this is one of my favorite months for 2016 and I can say that so much blessings came to me this month. I managed to squeeze in another trip right in time before the Christmas rush and also, I got the chance to spend time with my friends and family at parties and gatherings here and there.

2016 was such a rollercoaster ride but it was hella fun. So many things happened but it will all depend on how we look at it. As cliche as it may sound but, things really do happen for a reason. I’ve had so much learnings for this year and I promise to myself that I will take it with me next year and fully digest all the lessons from the past year. How about you? What are your learnings this 2016?
